To start with, both the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer are SUVs, both are available only in the 4x4 drive line, and both are available only in 4WD. Additionally, both cars are available in the Series II 4x4 trim and have a majority of the same features, including:

What is Different Between the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer?
However, this is where the differences begin. For starters, not only is the Grand Wagoneer higher-priced, but it has night vision lights. It also has a bigger engine (6.4L V-8 engine) than the regular Wagoneer (5.7L V-8). But, the regular Wagoneer has some things that the Grand Wagoneer does not, including a higher fuel economy of 15/20 mpg for both city and highway than the Grand Wagoneer’s 13/18 mpg for the same and more color availability.
The regular Wagoneer has Global Black and Sea Salt Beige interior available and is available in one of three exterior colors:
- Baltic Gray,
- Velvet Red Pearlcoat
- Bright White
In contrast, the Grand Wagoneer only has the Global Black interior available and is only available in one of two exterior colors:
- Diamond Black Crystal Pearlcoat
- Luxury White Pearlcoat
What Trim Levels are the Wagoneer Models Available In?
And while we mentioned earlier that both cars are available in the Series II 4x4 trim, the regular Wagoneer is available in the Series III 4x4 trim while the Grand Wagoneer is available in the Series I 4x4 trim. Furthermore, each car offers a different package. The regular Wagoneer offers the Rear Seat Video Group 1 package while the Grand Wagoneer offers the Wheels: 22”x9.0” Premium 1 Aluminum 1 package. But that’s not all!
What Are the Price Ranges of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer?
We sell both vehicles at different price ranges. The regular Wagoneer’s regular prices range from $70,000 to $89,999 while the Grand Wagoneer’s regular prices range from $90,000 to $149,999.
