Jeep Gladiator Top Dog Concept: Made For Mountain Bikers in NJ

Jeep frequently comes out with special-edition models, along with concept vehicles that could spark inspiration for future models like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer Concept. The latest one that was just unveiled is the Jeep Gladiator Top Dog Concept!

The Top Dog Concept is built on the all-new Jeep Gladiator that won 17 awards for its performance, versatility & features. This customized truck combines multiple accessories from both Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) that cater to the serious mountain biking enthusiast. And we’ve had more than a few customers who like to take their Jeep off road with their bikes!

What Makes the Jeep Gladiator Top Dog Concept Unique

Exterior

The first thing you’ll notice on the front end is the Top Dog Concept’s K9 Blue paint color that isn’t found in production Jeep Gladiator models. This concept truck also offers functional features such as:

• Dual bike rack designed for carrying Trek mountain bikes
• Dual concept exterior task lights on each side
• JPP Rubicon bumper with a Jeep J6 concept-inspired 2" steel grille guard
• Custom black Mopar hood latches with Jeep Willys logo
• Traction mats attached to the top storage rack for vehicle recovery & extraction

Because all mountain bike stowing is done on the outside of the vehicle, the Jeep Gladiator Top Dog Concept replaces the standard pickup truck cargo box with a custom PCOR flatbed storage system. Designed for a day on the trail, this storage system is comprised of:

• Pull-out drawers on the passenger side with interior storage shelves, exterior lighting switches & extra power supplies
• Battery-powered refrigerator & electric hot dog roller grill on the driver's side for added refreshment
• 2 rack structures above the cabin for additional storage space for tools & equipment
• Roll-out storage drawer with a foldable ladder in the rear

Interior

Inside the Jeep Gladiator Top Dog Concept, it’s made for all-weather conditions thanks to the use of Mopar all-weather floor mats throughout the cabin and Mopar stainless-steel pedal covers with black rubber pads. To match the design of the exterior, there’s blue accent stitching on the following features:

• Black Katzkin leather seats
• Armrests
• Shifter boots
• Steering wheel
• Parking brake

Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) bags are also inside for added storage. Entry & exit from the vehicle is made easy thanks to the use of Mopar grab handles.

Performance

Under the hood of the Top Dog Concept is the Jeep Gladiator’s 3.6L Pentastar V6 that delivers 285 hp & 260 lb/ft of torque, while being paired with TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. If off-road debris blocks the normal air inlets, the JPP snorkel ensures that the engine will be cooled.

Ground clearance is increased & off-road performance is enhanced thanks to the use of:

• JPP 2” lift kit with FOX shocks
• 7” JPP beadlock-capable aluminum wheels with 37” BF Goodrich KM3 mud-terrain tires
• Concept steel “high-top” fender flares
• JPP 8,000-lb-capacity Rubicon Warn winch with 100 feet of Spydura synthetic rope
• Rear-facing JPP Warn winch
• JPP 5” off-road LED lights installed on the base of the A-pillars
• JPP rock rails with 2" steel tubes
• Black door sill guards with a raised Gladiator logo
